We all know how tough it has been for the Japanese auto industry, so it will come as a blow that there is a new Honda recall, as they have now expanded their model list. This is an ongoing recall, with Honda now adding another 833,000 vehicles to the list due to an issue with an airbag.
Honda expanded a recall for airbags that might explode with dangerous force by an additional 833,000 vehicles. USA Today has learned from Honda that the airbag could deploy with far too much force, this could lead to the casing breaking and causing a serious injury or even worse.
The last time that Honda issued the the recall due to the airbag there had been a total of 12 incidents, 11 suffered injuries, while the other succumbed to the injuries and died. This does not look good for Honda, and we wonder if they will ever be totally free of this issue?
The list of models are as follows: 2001-02 Accord, 2001-03 Civic, 2002 Odyssey, 2002-03 CR-V, 2002-03 Acura 3.2 TL and finally the 2003 Acura 3.2 CL. Honda believes that some of these models might have a faulty airbag after they had been deployed and then replaced. In all there are 2,430 faulty air bags, but they need to recall all 833,000 vehicles, as they have no other way of knowing which of them are faulty.
Have you finally had enough with all these auto recalls?
