Sprint Samsung Nexus S 4G Release Date and Price Confirmed

If you are a Sprint customer who has been looking forward to the Nexus S 4G release we have some great news for you today, a release date and price has been announced at last.

Thanks to a recent article posted Engadget we can confirm that Sprint will begin offering the Samsung Nexus S 4G from May 8th, it will cost $200 when you agree a 2 year deal. Back in late March we suggested that it would arrive in the Spring and would cost $199 therefore we were pretty much spot on.

With the release just shy of 2 weeks away we are sure that a lot of you may consider upgrading to this impressive smartphone, you can pre-order yours here and check out the full list of tech specs here. Just to recap you get 4G connectivity, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, a 4-inch display supporting a resolution of 480 x 800, a 1GHz Hummingbird processor, a 5 megapixel camera capable of 720p HD video capture and 16GB of iNAND flash memory, all in its a very formidable handset.

    I just pre-ordered mine yesterday!! So excited!!!! 😀

    Unless I'm missing something there is one thing that would be nice to have been included in this otherwise incredible new phone…an SD card slot. Why would we not need one? Tethering is nice but it can be cumbersome for the average user. I hope the syncing process is much easier than other phones have been. Losing pics, music, and contacts, simply because there's no sd card, will be tragic when (not if) the phone has a technical problem.
