If you’re a fan of the hugely popular ITV1 game show ‘The Cube,’ then I think we have some news that could definitely be of interest to you. Koch’s Europress division has recently won rights to publish an upcoming video game based upon the hit TV programme.
According to a recent article by James Batchelor over on the mcvuk.com website, the video game will be released for home consoles sometime this year. Although they didn’t state what specific platforms the game will be arriving on, ‘home consoles’ could well mean the PS3 and Xbox 360.
The TV show – which is currently on its third series and is hosted by Phillip Schofield – sees contestants taking part in a number of challenges (which all take place in a 4x4x4 meter perspex cube) that become increasingly more difficult, as they attempt to win the big prize of £250,000.
‘The Cube’ video game will of course recreate a lot of the popular game show’s most familiar events including StopZone, The Cylinder and Multispehere. Each event will duplicate the tense atmosphere of the TV show, where just one mistake can leave the contestants with nothing.
