Drop the Chicken: Fun-Filled iOS Puzzle Game for All Ages

By Tina Chubb - Mar 28, 2011

We’ve seen quite a few new puzzle games released onto the Apple App Store over the past couple of months, including WackaMonsta, iQube and the most recent, Max and the Magic Marker. Now it looks like the list has just been made that little bit longer, with the release of the Drop the Chicken game.

According to the description over on the itunes.apple.com website, Drop the Chicken is a highly innovative and addictive puzzle game that is fun for gamers of all ages. Players must complete each level by getting their chicken to its nest. They can also collect bugs along the way.

Players are able to use a variety of special tools to help them slide, float and bounce their way around the levels. For example, players can use fans and balloons to float their way into those tricky corners, or use springs, elastic bands, conveyors or even mouse holes to collect as many bugs as they can.

However, they must also avoid the saws, bombs and other obstacles. While players may find some of the levels rater easy, others will be a little more difficult. If players do manage to finish all the levels in a world, they will then open bonus levels where they have the chance to gain valuable points.

The game – which also features HD graphics, character animation, professional sound effects and orchestral music – has also been developed to take full advantage of the new graphics capabilities of the recently released iPad 2. Do you like the sound of the Drop the Chicken game?

Yeah tried the game out today and it is spectacular. I like this game better than Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, it really makes you think.

I bought this game yesterday and I have not stopped playing it, I have kids as well and they really enjoy it, although they still don't get the concept behind the game they love seeing the chicken fall in the nest. I have bought most of the top puzzle games on the app store, but I would have to say after being stuck on a train for 2 hours yesterday I'm now officially addicted to DROP THE CHICKEN, what a great concept. I have never heard of this company but I'm looking forward to seeing what else they bring out.
