Battlefield 3: New Gameplay Trailer – Destructible Environments

By Tina Chubb - Mar 16, 2011

A couple of weeks ago we treated our readers to a brand new gameplay trailer for the highly anticipated Battlefield 3 game. Although the video was under a minute long, it was still enough to give us a brief idea of what to expect from DICE’s upcoming first-person shooter.

We now have more exciting news to bring you, as according to Mike Sharkey over at, another new gameplay trailer has just hit the Internet. The latest trailer – part 2 of DICE’s ongoing BF3 gameplay trailer series – is entitled Fault Line Episode 2: Good Effect on Target.

In the new trailer (which we’ve embedded below this post), the team is seen being pinned down on a rooftop by a sniper somewhere. The player’s teammates are then forced to go prone in order to take cover, as the .50 caliber bullets are seen whizzing past them.

The great thing about the new trailer, which lasts for almost two-and-a-half minutes, is the fact that it shows Frostbite 2’s version of the destructible environments in action. As a fan of first-person shooters and the Battlefield games in particular, this does look pretty awesome!!

Battlefield 3 is due to be released later this year, and will be available for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. What do you think of the latest trailer? Are you a fan of the Battlefield video game series?
