HP TouchPad Vs iPad: Size Comparison on Video

By Alan Ng - Mar 8, 2011

For those of you who are planning to pick up the HP TouchPad on launch, we have a new video for you to watch. Not only does it show off the build quality of the device, it also gives you an excellent size comparison alongside the Apple iPad.

The video has surfaced courtesy of Vietnamese website Tinhte and as Engadget reports, this video alone reveals that the TouchPad actually has support for a SIM card, which may be a surprise to most of you, since HP will only be releasing the TouchPad in WiFi form this year, with other versions set to follow after that.

You can also see in the video how easy it is to hold the device using one hand only, although we’re guessing most of you will still prefer the common method of using two hands whilst you browse the internet. For those of you who want to see just how compact the size is, look at the comparisons with the iPad towards the end of the video.

As you can see, the iPad is significantly bigger and thicker than the TouchPad, but don’t forget that this isn’t really an issue since the superior iPad 2 will be released within days though. Check out the video below and let us know your thoughts on it. You can view a specs recap of the TouchPad here.

Seriously, WebOS will limp along as a distant also ran while crippling the marketing of decent hardware until they finally give up and adopt a full Windows OS or Android. Purchasing Palm was a colossal blunder for HP and this is throwing good money after bad.
