Customers and potential buyers have been waiting on the HTC Thunderbolt release for weeks, and now Verizon Wireless has offered some reassurance on their Facebook page, although we feel this may be too late for some of their fans.
The idea of Facebook for brands is to communicate, but a few of Verizon’s 1.2 million fans are complaining after getting this update on the HTC Thunderbolt release. Verizon stated on the social network that they appreciated the “excitement” for the new phone, and stressed that they want to “ensure” the Thunderbolt is “flawless”.
It’s obvious there is no HTC Thunderbolt release date because not even Verizon know when that will be, following rumored problems. They then asked for its customers to be patience while they work on bringing the phone as soon as possible. That seems to be a fair statement from Verizon, or does it?
This announcement was followed with hundreds of comments; most of those were negative and filled with understandable frustration. Some wanted the HTC Thunderbolt price, release date, and a reason for the delay, while others were happy to wait as long as the device worked as advertised.
Some people have even started to cancel their pre-orders, and the main complaint is the lack of feedback from Verizon on the delay. What do you think about this latest statement from Verizon, is it good enough?
