Great news now for those of you planning to attend the 2011 Tokyo Game Show (TGS 2011) later this year, as it now looks as though you can mark the official dates on your calendar. CESA has just confirmed that this year’s event will begin on September 15th and end on September 18th.
However, as Anoop Gantayat over on the uk.ds.ign.com website recently noted, the first two days of the event – which is scheduled to take place in the Makuhari Messe Convention Center – will be business only. The general public will then have access to the show for its final two days.
Events such as the Tougeki fighting tournament and the CosPlay@TGS cosplay tournament will be making a welcome return at this year’s event. The Tougeki fighting tournament saw some rather big reveals for fighting game fans last year, so they can maybe look forward to the same this year.
As Tom Ivan over at computerandvideogames.com (via Andriasang) reported, the TGS 2011 event will also offer attendees a new “mobile & social gaming corner,” a “game PC & network game corner,” a “cloud/data centre pavilion” and a “game device corner.”
