Undead Labs Reveal Zombie MMO ‘Class3’: XBLA Exclusive

By Tina Chubb - Feb 4, 2011

Zombies appear to be quite a common sight in video games these days, what with titles such as Dead Rising, Call of Duty: Black Ops and Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare. Now it appears that another zombie-related game is on the way, courtesy of Undead Labs and Microsoft.

According to a recent article by Tamoor Hussain over at computerandvideogames.com, both Undead Labs – founded by Jeff Strain (co-founder of ArenaNet and former NCsoft president of product development) – and Microsoft have teamed up to create a new zombie MMO exclusively for Xbox Live Arcade.

The open-world game is currently known as “Class3.” When speaking about the upcoming game, Strain said that they are planning to create an ambitious open world XBLA game. Players will be able to perform raids for food and ammo, rescue other playable survivors and design and build settlements.

As Jake Gaskill over on the g4tv.com website recently reported, the “Class3” game will come complete with hand-to-hand combat, fast cars, sweet guns and plenty of zombie gore. You can check out the newly released artwork for the upcoming zombie MMO via the g4tv.com link here.
