The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS Release Date Info

By Jamie Pert - Jan 26, 2011

Now that the Nintendo 3DS release date and price has been announced I am sure that people are wondering what games to buy, hardcore Nintendo fans will undoubtedly be interested in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3DS, now we have some information regarding its release date.

Sadly we do not have a set-in-stone date, however we can confirm that it will not be out until after E3 2011 (June 6-9), Nintendo’s president and chief operating officer suggested that Zelda would not be rushed and will arrive when it is ready, he also said that there is no chance of it arriving during the 3DS launch period (March to early June).

If you ever played The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 you won’t mind waiting for the release as rushing it could ruin it, so far things are sounding promising, especially as the game has been overhauled to show of the new handhelds 3D visuals and fully utilize its dual-screen setup.

As we hear more regarding a release date for the 3DS version of Ocarina of Time we will keep you posted, I think it would be fair to say that a July release date is likely, to read more about Zelda’s 3DS release check out VideoGamer.

Hmm, I'm mostly worried what they will do to the story line. If they go for a younger audience it could easily ruin a few aspects of the game. Plus, as I am attempting to beat the N64 one currently, there needs to be either a hard mode or a new dungen layout.

I also hope that the game doesn't look fugly. :/

buying a 3ds just for this only i hope jabu jabu is easier, i refuse to look at walkthoughs! been stuck in jabu jabu for a couple of years

    • Eion Kilant 739

Dude, use a ****ing walkthrough! Your missing out on so much! Seriously: Jabu is unsolvable unless you think out side of the box. If you can't do quite that then you need to do the walk through, after 2 hard parts the level gets alot more fun!

Get real I beat that s**t when I was in Jr High dude- yes you need to think outside the box but its not brain surgury lol- I pray for this dude when he gets to the water temple…

im really loking forward to this. im aa huge zelda fan and when i realized that they were thrying to murder the zelda franchise, i starrted buying and finishing all the installments i didnt get. but if the experience doesnt make up for the wait, price of the 3ds, and price of the game, ill give up on the franchise, this i swear.

Does anyone know if there will be an option for re-arranged dungeons? I've played OoT that many times that it doesn't offer much of a challenge for me as I know where everything is and how to beat all the bosses. When they released it on a bonus disc for Gamecube, it was the 'Master Quest' version…which had re-arranged dungeons and was harder. Something like that would be great….otherwise I simply can't justify the outlay. Thanks.

maybe like if you beat the game they could put in an iption like

To easy, Try master difficulty [Y] [N]

Well, seeing as the 3DS is being renowned for it's New internet access as well as 3d (It's now able to access WPA) In my opinion Nintendo will be looking to exploit the wifi as much as possible.

So really there's a high possibility of downloadable 'bonuses' so yeah, there might be re arranged dungeons, or maybe new features alltogether.
