2012 Hyundai Elantra: Performance not compromising safety

The 2012 Hyundai Elantra is a compact car that shocks you a little; go back a few years and you would have never given this brand a second look. Now if you see one coming down the street you cannot help but look up, as you can sometimes be mistaken for looking at a Lexus. Today we thought we would have a look at the performance of the vehicle, which we are told is not compromising in any way in the safety aspects.

There are a number of things that all come together to help the 2012 Elantra from achieving 40MPG highway. The first is its lightweight design, which when taken into considartion of the power to weight ratio is much better than the Honda Civic. That power is helped along by two things, the first is its standard 1.8L, 4-cylinder engine, and the second is that amazing 6-speed SHIFTRONIC® automatic transmission. What you get is a potent car that will also give you a comfortable drive.

We do love how Hyundai has not shyed away from making the car as safe as possible, which is said to have made a few rivals stand up and take notice. In this day and age you want to be able to feel safe in your car, and with features that will make certain that you avoid any accidents, we are certain that you will be pleased.

Some cars in the same price range do have a few state-of-the-art safety features, be we really cannot say for certain if they will offer as much as the 2012 Hyundai Elantra. There are 8 key features that we need to highlight for you, they are as follows: Vehicle Stability Management system, Electronic Stability Control, Traction Control System, Anti-lock Braking System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist, Six airbags and finally Dual rear-door side-impact beams.

However, what we are more impressed with is that you get all this out of a car that has a starting price of just $15,195. For more details visit the Hyundai website.
