2011 Ford Explorer Specs Revealed: Three equipment levels

We mentioned earlier that the new 2011 Ford Explorer was going to be unveiled during a special Facebook event, where a lucky user would get the chance to win one of these new generation SUVs. We can now tell you that the Blue Oval has now shared with the media the latest spec details and that there will be three equipment levels.

The first of the three is the Base model; this offers a 4.2-inch LCD screen, 17-inch wheels, power locks and windows, cruise controls and much more.

For those wanting a little extra then you can opt for the XLT. This has all of the above plus keyless entry keypad, automatic headlamps, reverse sensors, heated mirrors and much more.

The top of the range is the 2011 Ford Explorer Limited and offers just that little bit over the two other versions. Extra features include: automatic climate control, power folding side mirrors, rearview camera, ambient lighting, remote start and much more.

Ford is hoping that the new 2011 Explorer will do much better than the previous version, as this was hampered with its large engines and high gas prices. For more details on the new SUV unveiling visit Left Lane News
