Gran Turismo 5: PS3 Patch 1.05 – Full List of Changes

By Daniel Chubb - Dec 20, 2010

Gran Turismo is currently doing well in our poll; which is the best racing game? Now there is a very large patch that is available now for Gran Turismo 5, the patch wasn’t expected, especially at such a huge size of 608MB.

You may be wondering what the patch contains, let’s give you a run down of the changes. There has been a new Online Collector’s Dealership, this has been added and contains rare and popular cars. You can also pick up a car that you may have been looking for but haven’t been able to get in the Used Car Dealership. There are improved rewards for winning races in the A and B-Spec for GT-Life and GT-Mode, although this is only until the end of January.

There is the addition of Seasonal Events, this is on the GT Mode and the GT Life screen, this addition gives you the ability to take part in official events online from the Polyphony Digital Team. This means that you can compete in various evens against people from all over the world. For a full list of the changes head over to the official EU PlayStation forum and have a read of the comment made by Danlisa here.

These are just some of the changes that have been added, for a full list for 1.50, the size of the patch is 608MB so if you haven’t downloaded it yet it could take a while.

this patch broke my gt5!!! (for sure – I installed it 3 times and had to delete):
1.patch itself – made some (more-less half) of my cars useless – when trying to change in garage (from main menu or from race starting menu) it just goes to main screen with no car changed
2.installing on hd makes navigating menus like 20 times slower but with annoying videos (btw: for some reason installing 8GB on hd all 3 times took more than 20 minutes each)

Is there any way to filter the cars in the new car dealership when looking for a particular drivetrain / country of origin or price?
