Prototype 2: Release Confirmed for 2012 – First Trailer

It looks like we are going to get another Prototype game after all, however it won’t be until 2012, the game was revealed at the Spike TV awards and as far as we are aware it is being developed for the Sony PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and also for Microsoft Windows.

The game is currently being developed by Radical Entertainment and it will be published by Activision. We have found their official website which you can view here although it does look like it is in the early stages of development, also we have included the trailer at the bottom of the article courtesy of VG247. No doubt there will be a Facebook page for Prototype 2, there are a couple already but neither looked like the official one to me.

If you are wondering what other games Radical Entertainment has been involved with then here are a few of the popular titles, The Simpson’s it and Run, The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, Scarface and various Crash Bandicoot titles. Most recently they worked on the last Prototype game which was released in June 2009.

By 2012 won’t there be new consoles? I am certainly hoping so, especially seeing as there has been so much talk about the Xbox 720 and PS4. What do you think, is this a bit far in advance? Let us know in the comments below
