Xbox 360 Kinect Games: 21 Titles For 2011

By Peter Chubb - Dec 6, 2010

When Microsoft first announced that they were to release a motion-sensing controller we all thought that they were dreaming. However, Kinect for the Xbox 360 has not been out that long and has already sold over 2.5 million units in just over a month.

We have already had reports that some retailers were running low on stock – sounds just like what happened to the Nintendo Wii when that was first launched. The thing that I found amazing with how popular the Kinect motion-tracking camera is how there are only a limited selection of games available.

Currently Xbox 360 gamers do not have many Kinect games to choose from, but that is all set to change in 2011; according to an article on Kickarss there are 21 new titles due for release next year. So if you thought that sales of the Kinect were good now, just wait until you have more choice in games.

Looking down the list a few jumped out at me, while others did not even register. The ones that I look forward too the most are ‘Grand Slam Tennis 11’, ‘Kinect Star Wars’, and ‘UFC Trainer’. There is only one issue, I do not have an Xbox 360 – I will just have to persuade my cousin to buy them.

What Xbox 360 Kinect game are you looking forward to the most in 2011?

Kinect is mad they just need people to make games for the hardcore gamer's like imagine a Left 4 Dead game on the kinect or if u have seen that movie Tron they could have people throwing disc's at people online and riding them bike things they just dont look outside the box they could make a Time Crises game for the xbox.

the kinect sucks! with no buttons to use, it is impossble to play normal games. the ps move has buttons, and could play black ops, killzone, ece. but the move cant play hardcore games. (yay, dance central, and thats about it. ) the wii is more fun, and costs a lot less. the kinect is a overrated piece of junk!

Sorry but this new list is just as uninspiring as the previous one. I will admit that a couple of the games have nothing more than a working title so not really sure what kind of game it is, but seriously I do not see anything that makes me want to play kinect. I think it is good technology, but unless there are games that I want to play not going to get it. I do not doubt that some people find it fun to run in place, jump up and down, or swing wildly their arms. I might even want to at some point, if the tech is combined with something like Assassins Creed or Prince of Persia. Where running, jumping and fighting are combined into an action adventure. They will have to do a lot better than what I have seen so far. Even Kinect Star Wars does not look very impressive to me, you have to do more than show me Darth Vader with a light saber, (for some fanboys that is all the need). I realize that the kind of game I would like to see may take several years to be developed, but until then I am happy with a controller in my hands for gaming. I would rather play a good game with controllers than a weak game with out one.
