ChevronWP7: Download WP7 Unlocker / Jailbreak Now

By Jamie Pert - Nov 28, 2010

If you own a Windows Phone 7 based smartphone we have some great news for you, a tool has been released which allows you to unlock a WP7 device without having a Marketplace developer account.

This tool is called ChevronWP7 and can be downloaded here, once you have unlocked your device you will able able to sideload experimental applications which are normally unavailable at the Marketplace.

The unlock itself works on all Windows Phone 7 devices and runs on Windows versions from Windows XP SP2 onwards (Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista and Windows 7), you will need the a USB cable to connect your smartphone to your computer. One good thing about this unlock is that is apparently completely safe and reversible, which means you can relock your phone if you need to.

If you decide to unlock your Windows Phone 7 smartphone you can follow step-by-step instructions here, however I recommend checking out Microsoft’s warning against unlocking beforehand.

We would love to hear whether the ChevronWP7 unlock worked for you, let us know in the comments section below.
