Marvel Vs Capcom 3: No Demo for Xbox 360, PS3 – Your Thoughts?

By Alan Ng - Nov 24, 2010

We have some disappointing news to confirm to you now, as it has been revealed that there will definitely not be a demo release for the highly anticipated Marvel Vs Capcom 3 beat-em-up on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

As reported from VG247, Capcom’s VP of strategic planning, Christian Svensson revealed the bombshell during a Q&A session over at Capcom Unity.

When asked the direct question on what the chances of a demo releasing would be, here is what he had to say:

“Sorry, but zero percent. As with Street Fighter IV, there will be no demo for Marvel vs. Capcom 3.”

Very blunt, and very straight to the point. It is always a shame when some of the most anticipated games never get a demo teaser, but being MVC3 – most of you are going to rush out to buy this anyway, regardless of a demo or not.

What are your thoughts on this? Are you disappointed that you are not going to have the chance to practise some moves before the game is out, or did you expect this anyway?

I don't like contrlos in Marvel Vs Capcom 1 & 2 games its to hard and stupid to make a punch and not to mention some crazy combo -_- and because of that reason i prefer Tekken ad Soul Calibur more but i will like to see MVC3 Demo if there is something new in controls before i buy it !?

yes Gilbert is correct. playing a demo of a game you love isnt going to change the fact that you are going to buy the game once you see it on the self. In fact i would think it would be a benifit for players who may dislike fighting games because they may be interested in this franchise once playing the demo. how many hits do you think gow 3 would have if a demo is out, alot!!! and those people who played it are defenitly going to buy that game. We need a demo, so we can have some fun instead of waiting for the game to come out. Like i always say its about the money, if you were getting paid to put a demo out for 10 billion dollars you would do it. if you wanted to put swords slashing of body parts you can do it. i actually dont get why people dont make the craziest fighting games cuz if my simple mind can think of stuff that would pull in gamers well what the hell is everyone else doing. Like i would be having, blood, clans, guns that blow holes through body parts, making the chars look more bloodied up after getting a beat down, but anyways DEMO DOES NOT MEAN IN ANY WAY SPOILER BECUASE WE ALREADY KNOW WHAT THE F((( this game is about if not we wouldnt waste our time looking it up online

I believe that we as gamers and buyers should be given a taste on what we are wasting our money on! Granted it’s MvC, but even so many of us would enjoy a quick battle of our gaming future. I believe that Playing a demo grants the gamers wanting more and therefor buying the game right away. It’s not like a demo can spoil the fun out of It but make it that more desirable. I’ve meet my share of gamers that did not enjoy SFIV, even if they are idiots for not liking it they still had the right to know what they were going to play before they bought it. So I believe that if Capcom/Marvel wants us to pay for there game, they should give us, there loyal gamers a quick taste of the action!
