LA Auto Show: Camaro Convertible Retro Muscle Car

By Peter Chubb - Nov 17, 2010

The 2010 LA Auto Show has been getting into its stride, earlier we covered details on a few concept vehicles from the event, now we have something more special, the new Chevrolet Camaro convertible, which was announced on Facebook back in April. We know that the concept vehicles look cool, but at least we know that the Chevy retro muscle car is obtainable.

Chevrolet has high hopes for this new model, not just the convertible, but the coupe version as well, as they aim to take the fight to the Ford Mustang. The roofless version will have all the same trim levels as the coupe versions, these include: LS, LT, and SS.

For those who are conscious on how much fuel they burn, then you should pick the first two models with their 3.6-liter V-6 engine. However, those who want more grunt can go for the SS with its 6.2-liter V-8 powerplant.

The upcoming 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible will start at $29,150, the standard coupe version is just $22,680 – a lot more money for less car. The new Chevy will go on sale from February 2011. For more details and photos visit Cnet News.
