Gran Turismo 5: Final Car Listing – 1031 Of Them

By Peter Chubb - Nov 13, 2010

It has been a long time coming, but Gran Turismo 5 is finally here – well almost. Sony has officially announced that GT5 will be released on November 24th – that’s two days before Black Friday and just one day before Thanksgiving. Did you know that there are 1031 cars available in the game? Well Eurogamer has listed all of them.

While looking down the final car listing you will see the letter P and S next to each model, these stand for premium car, and standard. All cars are part of the game, and you will not even have to pay extra for them.

For those of you who do not know, standard means that it is a GT4 car and has no cockpit view, which I never do anyway – seeing the drivers hands really puts me off. Premium means that it is a GT5 car, and so comes with a cockpit view – if you like that view that is?

I will not list all 1031 cars, you had best got to Eurogamer for that. However, I did want to look for a few models to see if they were on the list – and they were. Those included the S Bugatti Veyron 16.4 ’09, Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, and the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, but I could not see the X1 Prototype on the list.

What car are you looking forward to driving the most?

  • Jack

so bugatti veyron is included? AWSUM

  • SiK0h

    Ferrari Enzo!!! XD

they should've made fewer vesions of japanese cars, and made a lot more tracks because there are around 70 tracks if you include variations but without variations it's only around 27 tracks overall, it's pretty dissapointing! good thing there's a track editor… (because there are so little choices of tracks and lack of cockpit view for most cars, i'm thinking that this is just an appetizer to GT6, which the real deal would be)

  • Car Lover

This list sucks ass. Apparently it's more important to include EVERY FUCKING SKYLINE MADE than important European and American cars.

Im so dissapointed….. who needs that many models of a honda s2000 anyway! if you take out the double ups ie 2001 s2000, 2002 s2000 there are only around 600 cars…! Forza has that number of cars all with a cockpit view and only around 70 tracks thats a dissapointment when Forza has just over 90
Im still going to get it though!

  • Jake

Where's the CTS-V? We need more american cars on this list and less of the Honda Beat.

  • Haroon

Could have put bmw 740i e38

  • Moparrules

This list is a joke! Over 1,000 cars? Yeah, my ass. I will stay with Forza. I was going to buy a PS3 for this game, but this list blows. Gran Turismo 2 had a far better list then this. I was hoping for some real classic American muscle cars not the same 500 versions of a Honda Accord.

  • James

It's a shame that not all cars will have cockpit. Will probably use the other view mostly though. As long as it's not 3rd person, that's just retarded.

  • Matt

That list is BS we have waited all this time its now 2010 and there is hardly any cars on the game that have been released in the past 2 years, I just hope GT6 has new cars or DLC is introduced at some stage

  • Jon

Kinda disappoints me that there isn't a single 1960's Mustang in that list any one of them from '64-'69 would have been awesome to see in those great graphics. Just stuck with the lame '71 Ford Mustang Mach 1.

There has been one in every GT game, except this one. Pretty lame.

    • Manga Ben

It's got a Shelby Mustang GT350R '65 i it will that do you?

  • Jacob

Kinda Peeves me how at least 80% of the cars are from GT4. Oh well its good enough for me still 🙂

  • Tim

The X1 was listed under ‘Gran Turismo X1 Prototype’

  • ben

    Dammit, where's the Abarth 500!?

  • tbuk

  • DirtyW
