We have details on yet another recall for Nissan now and it affects around 605,000 vehicles due to a problem involving steering and battery defects. We have a list of the models and countries affected by this recall.

According to this report from Bloomberg, Nissan has discovered a new problem related to the steering-column, which could potentially cause corrosion that can restrict a driver’s movement of the lower joint, thus leading to cracked steering shafts.

The other problem that the Japanese car maker has discovered, is specific to the Nissan Sentra and it is due to a problem involving the vehicle battery, which could cause start-up and stalling problems.

Models affected by the recall include the Nissan Sentra mentioned above, Nissan Frontier pickup trucks, and the Xterra sport-utility vehicles, all produced between 2001 to 2010. If you own any of these models in the US, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil or Canada, you are advised to contact your nearest Nissan dealer.
