HTC Incredible HD / Mecha: Verizon 4G LTE Phone – First Picture

By Alan Ng - Nov 12, 2010

We have some exciting news for Verizon fans now, as we have more details on that rumored HTC Incredible HD handset, and also the first apparent ‘real’ image of the device in the wild for you to take a look at.

The picture you see below has been provided courtesy of Android Central, and as you can see, it bears a striking resemblance to the HTC Desire HD and the EVO 4G on Sprint.

Android Central claim that this handset could also come to market as the HTC ‘Mecha’, but the biggest news here is that the handset is thought to be one of the first devices to support Verizon’s 4G LTE network. If you look closely at the picture below, you’ll see a 4G logo towards the right-hand side of the status bar at the top.

Furthermore, Android Central says that this unannounced handset is currently achieving speeds of 9Mbps downstream and 5Mbps upstream – although, it is only at the testing stage at the moment.

Pretty exciting news though, don’t you agree? We hope it turns into the ‘HTC Incredible 4G’ personally – we’ll keep you updated on it’s progress.
