Motorola Droid 2 Global: Full List of Specs before Release

By Alan Ng - Nov 3, 2010

Yesterday we informed you about a full spec list that had been leaked for the Samsung Continuum on Verizon, but now we have a similar specs leak to tell you about, this time affecting the highly anticipated Motorola Droid 2 Global smartphone.

In case you still don’t know, the Droid 2 Global is the new name for the ‘World Edition’ Droid 2 which was first teased over a month ago.

The Global version of the Droid 2 comes equipped with a few notable additions from the original Droid 2, with the main one being a faster 1.2Ghz processor, as opposed to the 1Ghz chip on the old model.

Other specs confirmed include a 5 megapixel with dual LED flash, flash 10.1 support, 8GB of internal storage plus more with SD, 3G Mobile hotspot, and a choice of two colors – Dark Sapphire or Winter White.

As we informed you in a previous report, the Droid 2 Global is set to launch on Thursday November 11th – we’ll update you if that date changes. Check out the full spec sheet over at Droid-Life.

Does the Droid 2 Global have an easy way to write accents, acute and grave, needed for European languages?

  • It's just amazing: this article is about the Droid 2 Global, whose primary distinction from the Droid 2 is that it's GLOBAL, but no one can be bothered to address its GSM radio. Does it support 2100MHz UMTS for use in Japan? Does it support 3G on the GSM bands used in the U.S.?

I'm trying to find out whether the Droid 2 Global is a replacement for my BlackBerry Storm, and all I can find is a bunch of drivel about the thing's camera. *shakes head*
