iOS 4.2 Update: New Features after GM – What have you found?

We have a good heads-up for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad users now, as we have some details on the new features contained in the Golden Master release of Apple’s iOS 4.2 software update.

As reported from Apple Insider, iOS 4.2 will finally bring some popular features of iOS 4.1 to the iPad, but it will also add some notable features to iPhone and iPod Touch devices, such as Apple’s AirPlay and AirPrint features.

We informed you yesterday that the GM version of iOS 4.2 is now available to download, and other features discovered also includes a stylish looking multitasking bar which pops up on the iPad when you double tap the home button.

Apple Insider also has a few details on the new mute feature, which will now serve as the primary feature for the iPad’s hardware switch. You can read more details on this here and the other new features over at Apple Insider.
