Samsung (Google) Nexus Two: Unexpected Confirmation

There has been much speculation regarding the Samsung (Google) Nexus Two, but we have some unexpected confirmation. We had assumed that the Korean phone maker would offer some details on the upcoming device, but they have since made a statement confirming that the existence was “simply not true”.

If we are to believe this, then everything we and other websites have discussed in recent days was incorrect. But how do we know who to believe? Korean website Damawa were the website who broke the news that the phone does not exist; when Gizmodo says that it does.

I do not know anything about Damawa, so I cannot say how credible they are; but we all know how spot on Gizmodo were with the iPhone 4. There was even said to be contacts in Samsung who also conformed that the Google Nexus Two was real. The Next Web says that we will finally know what is happening in a week?

There is still a glimmer of hope that Samsung will launch the Google Nexus Two, and if they do then they will truly start leaving LG behind – something I fear happened with the introduction of the Galaxy S range.

What do you think, does the phone exist or not?

    Something exists.

Google will need another "pure" phone to ensure an untainted experience for developers and users and to not rely on hardware producers or network providers to inform the market of upgrades.

On the other hand: I was a bit surprised how quickly rumors turned to "almost knowledge" over streams of references and references. A true lesson learned. Something to remember.
