Kinect Xbox 360: Sold out at Amazon, Best Buy – Did you get one?

By Alan Ng - Oct 29, 2010

For those of you planning to pick up Microsoft’s upcoming Kinect motion camera software, it has been confirmed that you’ll have to do so without the services of both Amazon and Best Buy – as they have now sold out of the device.

As reported from BGR, both retailers are still offering console and Kinect bundles, but for the many who just need a Kinect camera, you’ll have to search elsewhere.

Luckily, you don’t need to look too hard, since the likes of GameStop and Walmart still have stock of the $149 standalone camera.

If you have managed to pre-order one already, consider yourself lucky as we expect stock to sell out over the weekend. Kinect and Black Ops releasing in the space of a few days together – are you going to embrace both?

pre-ordered both, hell yea! and i definitely think kinect can wait til there's more titles, but the launch titles aren't bad and "child of eden" looks interesting as far as a non-workout non-sports non-party-game title goes.

I will wait until there are games worth playing on it. They have to do better than dance and jump games, I do not want to do either. Give me something that will be cool. A good zombie survival game, where I can scan house hold objects for weapons, Sledge hammer, chain saw, baseball bat, or axe. now something like that might make it fun. Till then I will stick with controllers.

Ordered mine back in August from The Hut. Looks like a great piece of tech that will surely grow over the next few years.
