World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Cinematic Now Available

By Jamie Pert - Oct 18, 2010

After the rough and tumble of patch 4.0.1, WoW players have been given something that might keep them going for a little bit longer. The full two minutes and thirty-three seconds of Deathwing’s rebirth into Azeroth. As always, the cinematic is one of the the most highly anticipated aspects of a pre-release expansion, and this one most certainly delivers.

The Cataclysm cinematic features some first-time high-definition landscapes such as Darkshore, Stormwind, Thousand Needles and The Barrens, that get torn apart by the aspect of death, formally known as the aspect of the earth. It’s safe to say that the latter title still stands somewhat.

When Blizzard released the Wrath of the Lich King cinematic, there were probably a lot of people that thought it could never be beaten. But this definitely belongs up there as one of Blizzard’s best cinematics to date. Ok, i’ll stop talking about it now. You can check out the cinematic below.

What do you think of the cinematic? Better than the WOTLK cinematic? What is your favourite cinematic from Blizzard?
