Nokia N8 UK Release Delayed by a week

By Peter Chubb - Oct 6, 2010

The ongoing saga with the Nokia N8 – which has been compared to the iPhone 4 – is a confusing one, we already know that this Symbian^3 handset has already started to ship for those who had pre-ordered, but there is still much we did not know. Thankfully Nokia has now decided to offer more details on its release.

Slash Gear reports that the N8 will be available to order online from October 15th, but those wanting to purchase from a UK retail store will have to wait another week, October 22nd. However, the smartphone will then be available to purchase on all carriers and certain stores.

Those stores will include Carphone Warehouse, Phones 4 U and Tesco, as well as all the network stores. OK, so we know that you will have to wait another week if you do not wish to order online – we just hope that Nokia will be able to keep up with demand.

Will the idea that you have to wait an extra week to purchase the Nokia N8 in store persuade you to purchase online a week earlier?
