iPhone 4 Jailbreak (iOS 4.1): Download GreenPois0n before iOS 4.2 Update

By Alan Ng - Sep 25, 2010

We have some good news for the thousands of you waiting for an update on the GreenPois0n jailbreak tool for iOS 4.1 devices, as it has been suggested that Greenpois0n will be available to download before Apple push out the official update to iOS 4.2.

As reported from RedmondPie, the news has once again surfaced from Twitter as ‘Vince’, the guy responsible for maintaining the official iPhone Wiki website has posted the following tweet about the upcoming GreenPois0n jailbreak:

”They won’t wait for iOS 4.2 to release SHAtter. iOS 4.1 will be jailbroken soon.”

While this isn’t a confirmation as such on the release of GreenPois0n, this tweet was a reply which was distributed amongst iPhone Dev Team hackers.

The ball now firmly rests in the hands of the Chronic Dev-Team, who will be responsible for releasing the tool for public use. We’re not sure when Apple will release iOS 4.2 officially (it’s still in beta), but it is good news if GreenPois0n will be available before it.

Let us know your thoughts on this. Are you still waiting to jailbreak your iPhone 4 or new iPod Touch? Don’t forget that you can still jailbreak your iPhone 3GS/3G and iPod Touch 3G with the latest version of Sn0wbreeze.
