HTC Tablet: Android 3.0 GingerBread and Release Date Hints

By Alan Ng - Sep 16, 2010

We have some interesting news to report to you now, as it has been revealed that HTC are ‘definitely’ working on a tablet device, and that it will come with Android 3.0 Gingerbread as it’s operating system.

As reported from BGR, the news is according to this article from Digitimes, who have also said that HTC’s tablet will be released to the public sometime during the first quarter of 2011.

It looks like 2011 is going to be a busy year in terms of tablet releases. We have already heard rumors on Verizon’s Android tablet, while Apple may even drop the iPad 2 next Summer.

At the moment though, this is still a rumor until HTC say otherwise, or unless we get some real proof of this device. Let us know your thoughts on this.

  • I have to say am a huge HTC fanboi… that being said HTC really does make good stuff.. obviously with the EVO… the best phone in like ahm.. EVER???!!!

so yeah am all over the HTC tablet hopefully it’s 4G and on sprint then u know am most definitely getting it…

for now the only 4g tablet coming out on sprint’s 4g network that i know of is the blackberry playbook sometime in summer, but blackberry OS sucks.. plus its running on a different “unpopular” OS “QNX” so it’ll be real hard to get apps and stuff for it… so a HTC android gingerbread tablet?…. hell yes!!!!

I have a HTC Phone and it is the dogs dangly bits, if their Tablet performed well and has a supierior battery life to the rest of the competition I would have one.

i think the HTC tablet is the only one i would be interested in buying. i would defiantly not buy an ipad for a start what's the point in a tablet that cant use flash because the head of apple doesn't like adobe
