Samsung Galaxy Tab: Price Update – Relief for US Consumers

By Alan Ng - Sep 6, 2010

We have some good news for those of you still trying to find a confirmed US price for the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab, as we have some new details on pricing, allegedly from a Samsung rep as well.

Our article last week told you that the Samsung Galaxy Tab is rumored to be set at around £679 in the UK, with added speculation that the Tab may come in at $900+ in the US.

Thankfully, some new details from this Engadget report have revealed that the Tab may actually end up being between $200 and $300 depending on subsidies. That price estimation has come from the WSJ, so there may be some truth to it.

Furthermore, their report also reveals another set of prices, these of which have supposedly come from a Samsung Rep according to the Korea Times. They have said that the price will be $300 to 400, which sounds pretty fair to us.

Either way, it is a lot better than the crazy prices that were first thrown around. We’ll update you when we know more. Let us know your thoughts on these new prices.

You really need to lower the prices. It’s not that neccessary.
