Samsung Galaxy Tab Quick Review: Specs and Video Ad

The waiting is over after Samsung have finally made public more information and specs on the Galaxy Tab. The seven inch Android tablet could be some serious competition for Apple’s iPad.

Paul Miller of Engadget has news of Samsung’s official press release and first video ad for the new device. Running Android 2.2 and weighing only 380g the Galaxy Tab certainly looks the part, especially the smart TFT-LCD display. The device is powered by a Cortex A8 1.0GHz processor so offers high performance.

HD video is supported in a wide range of formats, H.263, H.264, DivX, XviD, MPEG4, and more. Two camera’s are included with the front one allowing face to face video calls via 3G, and the rear facing one is 3 MP with LED flash and autofocus.

Bluetooth 3.0, 3G HSUPA and 802.11n Wi-Fi gives users mobile communication on a new level. Internal storage comes in 16GB or 32GB, and can be increased by up to 32GB via a micro SD card. Catch the Samsung ad video below.

    Please, they keep criticizing Apple, but everything that is coming out, is a twiked copy of the Ipad, why nobody can built one that is different, is simple, Ipad works, so let’s go ahead and make the same with a different name.

    Actually, every tablet that will come onto the market right now will appear as it is challenging Apple. As for Samsung, this one could’ve been more great if it has a front facing camera. Samsung Tab Early Impressions
