Google Chrome Store: European Launch and Details

By Jamie Pert - Aug 17, 2010

When Google release Chrome OS they hope that their Chrome Web Store will become a central place where users download free and paid for apps for their Chrome OS-based PC.

It looks as if Google are making progress with Chrome OS and the Web Store, so much so that they have revealed that the Store will “open its doors” in Europe sometime this Autumn, which coincides with the estimate release period of Chrome OS and compliant devices.

It will be interesting to see how this idea will take off in the real world, obviously there are similarities between Chrome OS, Google Android, the Android Marketplace and the Chrome Web Store, however will these apps appeal in the same way that mobile apps do for smartphones?
