Samsung has been very busy recently with the recent launch of their Galaxy S range – but who would have thought that they would have something that would make bigger news? Well that’s just what they have done with the announcement of their first Windows Phone 7 – the Samsung Cetus (SGH-i917).
Darren Murph from Engadget points out that it was always obvious that Samsung was going to become one of Microsoft’s partners – maybe even their closest. The handset was no secret, but its name was, but a recent Bluetooth certification shows that Cetus is almost certain to be the name.
Murph has learned from Bluetooth SIG via OLED Display that the SGH-i917): will come with a 4-inch screen, which does seem to be the current standard these days. The AMOLED display will have a resolution of 800 x 480, which will look great once you take a few shots with the 5-megapixel camera.
Other features include: GPS, Bluetooth, USB 2.0, Wi-Fi, but that’s all we know for now. We do not have any release or pricing details, once we know more we will keep you informed.
