It seems as though Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is headed for some positive press for once. Just a few days after passing the 500 million mark of users, and having a movie made about his multi-million pound social networking company Facebook, the Simpsons have decided to recruit the king-of-the-social by appearing in an episode starring as himself.
But even though this college kid started in 2004 with a bright new idea on how social networking should work, and has come a long way since then, nothing really says you are famous until you get asked by Matt Groening and co. to star in one of their legendary Simpsons episodes.
Zuckerberg is only 26, and is heading for even more super-stardom when he gets to play himself on the Fox television show coming this fall, just as “The Social Network” rolls out in screens across the globe.
The episode is called “Loan-A-Lisa,” where Lisa decides that she will help Nelson with his new bike company. While they are in attendance for entrepreneurs (such as themselves), they meet Zuckerberg who explains to them many have dropped out of school to become billionaires.
Are you looking forward to this episode?
