Earlier today we revealed five new digital cameras which have now been officially announced by Panasonic, we thought some of our readers may appreciated an in-depth look at one particular model, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS10.
The LUMIX TS10 is Panasonic’s latest edition to their TS-Series of rugged models, this camera is designed for active and outdoor usage and will apparently take high-quality photos regardless of the shooting environment.
The TS10 features a 14.1 megapixel sensor and features Panasonic Intelligent Auto mode, it has a 4x optical zoom lens and is capable of recording video at 720p. It also features a 2.7 inch LCD and supports Intelligent Scene Selector, Face Detection mode, Intelligent ISO control and Quick autofocus.
In terms of ruggedness the TS10 is very impressive, it is waterproof in depths of up to 10 feet, it is dustproof to both IPX8 and IP6X ratings and shockproof from a height of up to 5 feet (the MIL-STD 810F Method 516.5-Shock). Also all if its components can withstand temperatures as low as -10 degrees Celcius.
This particular camera should become available in mid-September in either silver, black, red or blue for around $249.95, you can find out more here, or via the source link below (check out the press releases at the bottom of Engadget’s article).
