Fight Night Champion: Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2011

By Jamie Pert - Jul 20, 2010

If you are a fan of the EA’s Fight Night video games we have some good and bad news for you, lets start with the bad news, there will be no Fight Night game release in 2010, however the good news is that a Fight Night Champion is on its way.

It looks as if Fight Night Champion will only be coming to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it should arrive sometime in 2011 and EA are keen to stress that the game is not an expansion to Fight Night Round 4.

EA claim that they are aiming to make Fight Night Champion more accesible to people that are new to Fight Night, also they are said to be concentrating heavily on single-player content.

No other details have been revealed yet, therefore we will have to keep you posted. What do you make of this news? Are you happy with the game’s name and the focus on single-player content?

What they don't tell you is…. There is the biggest problem ever found in online gaming going on right now with Fight Night Round 4… The games disconnect online (PS3) at an alarming rate, its got that bad that barely anyone plays Round 4 online (PS3)… The problem started in Dec 09 when EA released the 2nd patch for the game… 9 months later and they are still no further to finding a solution.

EA broke their own game and when the users started complaining on the EA official Fight Night forum, the moderators started banning the loudest members who complained about it… This served as a warning for anyone else who complained about it… There is now a blanket ban on the official Fight Night forum and if anyone brings up this subject they face a ban, this ban also affects the members online accounts.

I think they might be banning people because companys pay (and are still paying) a lot of money to advertise in the online mode of Fight Night Round 4… They are paying, but no-ones seeing, which probably puts EA in breach of contract… You can't exactly advertise in a product thats not functional and nobodys playing.
