WoW Cataclysm: Closed Beta Has Started

By Jamie Pert - Jul 1, 2010

Just yesterday, Blizzard announced that the alpha testing phase of Cataclysm had come to an end, and the closed beta testing phase had started. And so, the NDA has been lifted, and we have some very juicy details and changes to reveal to you regarding the latest expansion to the WoW universe.

You can read the full press release from Blizzard here, but first lets take a look at all the new stuff we can expect from Cataclysm.

There are plenty of new items such as weapons, gems, craftable items, and maps that have been datamined so far, and everyone’s favourite WoW database – Wowhead – have even opened their very own Cataclysm database so you can check out all the latest items. Among them is the legendary Frostmourne, which only seems to be a GM Artifact at the current time.

You can also check out all the latest skills, spells and talents for your favorite class, as all of them have now been revealed, but remember these can always change as it is still a beta.

So much information has been released so far, it’s hard to keep on top of it, but at the other end of the scale Guild Perks have also been officially revealed, as well as some female Worgen /silly and /flirt sounds.

Keep checking back for more information, as I’m sure there will be loads more to come.

Are you excited about all the new Cataclysm information? What changes would you make?
