Motorola Droid X: Release Date, Specs and Price

For those of you planning to pick up the Motorola Droid X from Verizon in July, you’ll be pleased to know that the handset has now been officially unveiled. We have a price, release date and detailed specs to share with you now.

As reported from BGR, the Droid X will be available to buy from July 15th. The handset will be pretty affordable too, as it will cost you $199 after $100 mail in rebate on a two year customer agreement with Verizon.

Sadly, the Droid X won’t come with Android 2.2 Froyo, instead it will come with 2.1 with an update to 2.2 scheduled later on this Summer. Specs include a 4.3-inch display, 1GHz processor, 8 megapixel camera, 720p video recording, multitouch keyboard, 8GB of internal memory, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth.

    Somehow this just looks like the EVO 4G, but the only difference with this one is can't go 4G. Perhaps, this is not the superphone that we've been waiting for to see. And if you're not that blind, you will see that this is somewhat close to being a joke, compare to iPhone 4. Droid X Comparisson

    how is this processor going to compare to the Snapdragon in the Incredible. Two different brands with same speed… but which is better? A 3 Ghz AMD processor isn't the same as a Pentium 3Ghz
