New World Cup App for iPhone: Soccer Near Me 1.0

Now the FIFA World Cup is under way fans need not miss a game again with the launch of a new app for owners of the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. Soccer Near Me 1.0 allows users to find public places that are showing matches all over the world.

Released by Mark Lawton Design the app also allows users to list World Cup events and parties they are hosting. Fans can even post news for each other to tell them which bar or venue they will be watching the match.

The application has more than 900 bars listed all over the world on a map that the user can zoom in or out and then click for the address. Each country is represented by a colored pin with note by an American fan will show up as red, while a Brazilian one showing up as yellow.

There are 32 flags representing every country in the World Cup, but if a user wants to exclude any country they can simply de-select it. User posted events are shown as soccer balls on the map.

Soccer Near Me 1.0 is on the App Store for only $0.99. iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch required with OS 3.1 or later.
