Max Payne 3: Release Date Delayed; Mafia 2, Civ V & L.A. Noire Still On Track

By Jamie Pert - Jun 10, 2010

In March, Take-Two named four titles that were on their radar, Max Payne 3, Mafia 2, L.A. Noire, and Civilization V, but also mentioned that one of them could face a delay out of fiscal 2010 (which ends on October 31). We now have the news that it will be Max Payne 3 would be that title, which is frustrating as it has already faced a delay.

This delay should be a good thing in the long run, it means that the developer is spending the time to make it as good as possible, which should mean that the final product fulfill it’s potential.

Not much more information was given about the delay, but it seems (for now) that the other three titles are safe. Mafia II is due for release at the end of August, along with L.A. Noire and Civ V which are due to hit shelves sometime in Q4, usually meaning around October.
