Acer Aspire One D260: Officially Announced – Specs and Release Date

By Jamie Pert - Jun 9, 2010

With all of the smartphone and tablet related news lately, we seemed to have forgotten all about netbooks, therefore we thought you may be interested in Acer’s soon to be released model.

This is the Acer Aspire One D260, earlier reports suggested that it may come with the choice of Microsoft Windows 7 or Google Android, however it nows seems as if the Android plans have been scrapped.

There are optional hardware upgrades available for this model, however as standard it features an Intel Atom N450 (1.66GHz) processor, 1GB of RAM (maximum of 2GB), a 10.1 inch display supporting a resolution of 1024 x 600, WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 3.0, more specs can be seen here.

Currently we are unsure of a price, however we have been told to expect a July 1st 2010 release date, to find out all you need to know about this netbook check out the link below.

    I have a question,
Is Acer Aspire One D260 and Acer Aspire One AOD260 the same?
Or are they completely different models?
I’am having a little bit of confusion over the model numbers.
Thanks for your help in advance 🙂
