We all knew it was coming, so was finally nice to see Steve Jobs officially announce FarmVille during his WWDC 2010 keynote. There is no denying that FarmVille is one of the most popular games on the Internet, so it was overdue that it would come to the iPhone.
The game that sees you control your own farm has more than 70 million users per month, which could now increase now that it will soon be available for the iPhone. We all associate FarmVille with Facebook, but with the game going to Apple’s smartphone Anthony Ha from MobileBeat said that you could play the game anytime, anywhere.
Zynga has launched games on the iPhone before but none have proved that successful, we are certain that this will all change now. This will be great news for the game developer as they will not be as dependent on the social networking site.
FarmVille on the iPhone will be different as you will be able to purchase items that are unique to Apple’s smartphone, and lastly, the game will be able to make full use of the iPhones push notification feature.
