Tomorrow tech geeks will be happy to hear that both Apple and Microsoft will be holding conferences to promote upcoming software and devices, Apple’s event is the Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 which is taking place in Moscone West, San Francisco, whereas Microsoft’s Tech·Ed event is taking place in New Orleans, Los Angeles.
In terms of web traffic there is no doubt that WWDC 2010 is more popular, however I am sure there will be a lot of interest in Microsoft’s latest developments in the world of business and technology.
As usual Apple are holding back details regarding WWDC 10, however we can pretty much guarantee that we will see the launch of a fourth-generation iPhone and iPhone OS 4.0. A previous article looks into other WWDC 2010 predictions, but this is all speculation.
Details regarding TechEd are also unclear, NetworkWorld suggest that Bob Mulgia will speak at the conference, perhaps talking about the future of IT, and how cloud computing will play it’s part. It is also thought that Microsoft will show development in Windows Phone 7, Azure and the Windows Phone 7 Marketplace.
Despite not being an Apple fanatic I am looking forward to WWDC 2010 more than TechEd, I wonder if Microsoft have anything up their sleeve to shock the world.
