By Peter Chubb - Jun 4, 2010

Today is June 4 and is the day when Sprint was to release its latest handset – the HTC EVO 4G. We can now tell you that this Android smartphone is now available on the Sprint website in all its glory – what are you waiting for people, get online and order yours now.

The EVO 4G is the worlds first dual-mode handset that can access 3G or 4G data networks – although this does depend on where you live as Sprint only have a select few regions where 4G is accessible. Do not let that put you off as Sprint is working hard on rolling out this service on a larger scale in the U.S.

We have covered all there is to know about the HTC EVO 4G, but for those who still do not know the basics then we will give you a hand. The 4.3-inch display makes it much easier to do all the things that you want to do, from sending emails, viewing WebPages to watching videos or photos.

The handset comes with Android 2.1 OS, but will not be long until it gets the 2.2 FroYo update. All this can be yours for $199, you will have to sign a two-year deal, but you do get a $100 mail-in rebate – that’s on top of the instant $150 saving. More details on the Sprint Store
