Dell Streak: Price and Release Date Details

By Alan Ng - Jun 3, 2010

We have some great news for consumers in the U.S who are planning to pick up the recently announced Dell Streak smartphone / tablet device, as the company has just announced release details and a confirmed price.

As reported from BGR, the Dell Streak will go on sale direct from priced at $500 for an unlocked handset. They say the device will be available at the end of July, although Dell didn’t give a solid release date yet.

If you need a quick refresh of specs, the Streak will pack a 5-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 16GB internal memory, GPS and WiFi. The Streak will also come equipped with Android 2.1, with a update to 2.2 Froyo likely to follow later on in the year.

The device is certainly looking impressive, but does it do enough to warrant the $500 price tag?

  • Tony

Without a doubt I will be looking forward to this, as I have bear paws for hands and the bigger screen should help out.

  • For a smartphone of this size, the price seems pretty fair. I have seen worse on lesser devices in the past.

  • dell streak… now complete with hdmi dock. woohoo
