Sprint HTC EVO 4G: Video Recording Test – Daylight and Low-Light

There is no doubt that the HTC EVO 4G is going to impact the smartphone market in many different ways, obviously the main attraction is that it is the first-ever 4G phone, however it’s other specs are also pretty desirable.

The HTC EVO 4G features an 8 megapixel camera which is capable of recording video at 720p, recently IntoMobile tested out the handset’s video recording capabilities, and I must say for a smartphone the results are pretty impressive.

There are two videos embedded at the end of this post, the first of the two shows the handset’s video recording capabilities in daylight conditions, despite the camera being used in extremely bright conditions it manages to avoid glare and shows a pretty good range of colors.

The second of the videos shows the handset’s capabilities in low-light conditions, in this video the only light is provided by computer monitors etc, there are no main lights on, still the video capture is impressive, check out the video quality yourself below.

When watching the videos you have to remember that the Sprint HTC EVO 4G is a smartphone, not a digital camera/camcorder, in my opinion despite video recording being just one of the many functions that the handset offers, the results are pretty impressive. Are you impressed by the HTV EVO 4G’s video recording capabilities?
