We have some good news for those of you who are planning to pick up the MyTouch Slide 3G handset on T-Mobile next month, as we have rumors that suggest that the update to Android 2.2 Froyo will be happening straight after launch.
As reported from Phandroid, the phone is due to land on Wednesday June 2nd, available for $199 on a two-year deal with T-Mobile.
A fresh rumor from AndroidSpin has confirmed that the Froyo update will available to download that same week. Android 2.2 will be pushed out to T-Mobile employees for testing purposes first and then be rolled out to customers once given the green light.
Do you think it will really happen though? Earlier on we reported that the Motorola Droid was the next handset in line for the update. It seems a bit unlikely that the MyTouch Slide 3G would be upgraded to 2.2 Froyo before the likes of the HTC EVO or HTC Desire.
