Nexus One: Android 2.2 Froyo Update – Download Manually

Have you received the update to Android 2.2 Froyo on your Nexus One handset? We reported yesterday on how select users were getting the update OTA, but now we have a direct link for the manual download of the new version.

As reported from Engadget, this is perfect for those who cannot wait for the OTA notification to land on their Nexus One. We understand that the rollout is only for select handsets anyway, so you probably want to give the manual update link a go.

If you want to join everyone on Android 2.2 Froyo, then you can head over to this link from Google. However, the update will only work for those of you with “non-rooted stock ERE27 system” handsets.

Luckily for you, there is a secondary download link here. Try this one out if the first one fails. Let us know how you get on.

will i need to revert back to 2.1 when final version is released?

  • Draekz

I get the same problem with the camera on the Pre-Release version of 2.2 leaked out and since removed.

Once the final version comes out, most likely the camera will work 😉
