Android 2.2 Froyo Vs 2.1 Eclair: Flash 10.1 Compared

By Alan Ng - May 23, 2010

We have another great Android 2.2 Froyo Vs 2.1 Eclair comparison to show you now. This time a video we have found focuses on Adobe Flash support for both versions of Google’s OS.

As reported from Engadget, the video gives us a comparison of Flash content on both the HTC Desire and the Nexus One handset from Google.

If you didn’t know, the Desire on 2.1 supports Flash Lite 4, while the Nexus One running 2.2 Froyo comes with full Adobe Flash 10.1 support.

Video quality speeds were tested using the same video on the BBC website, and the results are pretty conclusive. Playback was much smoother on Froyo, while skipping was evident on the HTC Desire running Flash Lite 4.

Luckily for HTC Desire owners, the handset is on the list that will be receiving the update to Android 2.2 Froyo soon. Check out the video comparison below and let us know your thoughts on it.
