Red Dead Redemption: PS3 / Xbox 360 US Release Date Today – Your Reviews?

By Jamie Pert - May 18, 2010

Red Dead Redemption has received flattering almost faultless reviews over the past few days, but now it’s your turn to truly test the might of the western adventure video game which saw it’s official release today in North America.

After the shenanigans last week, where a gamer posted up a premature review, along with gameplay footage, players in the US have now managed to get their mitts on their own copy of the latest Rockstar game. But unfortunately for the UAE, it does not look like they will be playing this game anytime soon.

Now that you’ve got to grips with your revolvers, bolt-action rifles, knives and dynamite, what are you first impressions of the game? Is it everything your favourite review website said it was? What console are you playing it on?

We would love to hear your views on the game. You can do so by leaving a comment in the section below.

    this game sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • One hour in and I am glad that I actually spent 65 bucks on a new video game. I played the original and loved it, so far this is no let down. finally something to stop me from playing MW2. Recommend it and I haven’t even played online….yet.

Un-freakin-believable. This is the western game I wanted "GUN" and "Call Of Juarez" to be. Whilst I'm only 2 hours into the single player campaign, I cant count the amount of times I said "WOW…look at that!" Its a beautiful game, from the incredible plateaus and red rock vistas, to the shady characters and motion-captured horses (they actually put horses on a treadmill for the mocap). The story is cliche, but in the best way, leaving you with the feeling that you're Clint Eastwood in one of his rugged spaghetti westerns. In short, un-freakin'-believable! Really, if you cant afford it at least rent it. Seriously, Its almost the perfect game.
10 out of 10. Absolute game of the year contender.
